Here They Come! ~The leading composers gather~
The picture is, as stated above, taken from Vanity Fair in 1997, and is an impressive overview of [some of] the leading composers in the current Hollywood film music community - a truly one-of-a-kind happening. Now, see how many you can identify before peeking at the "who's who" below! The picture is courteously "stolen" from the Music for a Darkened People website (thus, the lower right logo), which again probably "stole" it from the magazine in question. Please disregard the numbers. FRONT ROW: Danny Elfman, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and James Newton Howard SECOND ROW: Hans Zimmer, Elmer Bernstein, John Barry, Quincy Jones, Maurice Jarre and Michael Kamen THIRD ROW: James Horner, Lalo Schifrin, Mark Isham, Bill Conti, Elliot Goldenthal and Marvin Hamlisch (leaning forward to second row) STANDING UP: Alan Menken and Marc Shaiman Sad to note, by the way, that Goldsmith, Bernstein and Kamen have all died since this picture was taken.
