What's New:

09.11.2006 * That's right, if you can read this you've already noticed that we're not called celluloidtunes.com anymore, but celluloidtunes.net. The reason for this change is too complicated to go into right now, but it's not out of free will, I can tell you that. I will spend the next few days updating some things here and there, but no massive redesign is planned as of yet. I want to thank Laurent Watteau for coming to my rescue when things looked grim!

02.09.2006 * Added a review of Amore e Libertà Masaniello (Werba)

05.01.2005 * Added a review of Nachbarinnen (Hosenfeld/Denis)

* Added a review of Music for Films (Werba)

* Added a review of Il Diario di Un Prete (Werba)

05.11.2004 * As you can see, I have re-organized the site, making it more user-friendly and easier to navigate. By that I have reduced the "cheeziness" factor somewhat, although the site still needs a brand new design (new logos etc.).

10.02.2004 * I'm back!!! After 8 months, my file transfer client is finally working again. I'm not going to bother you with all the details, but there have been both technical and personal reasons for the lack of updates since June last year.

* Trade lists updated plus some minor updates here and there. Will do more eventually, maybe even revamp the site entirely. Presently working on the link section.

13.06.2003 * Added a bunch of CD-R's to the trade lists

05.02.2003 * Added a review of Tonbüro Berlin Promo 2 (Hosenfeld/Denis)

* Added a review of Zoo (Werba)

06.12.2002 * Added external links to my three-part FSM article in Speaking of Which

* Added more Cinema Club-post links in the FSM tribute page

10.10.2002 * Moritz Denis has now joined Eike Hosenfeld as a composer duo, and his page is reflected thereafter.

08.10.2002 * Celluloid Tunes has been transferred to a new server. It should not affect anything, but sorry for the inconvenience during the transfer.

04.07.2002 * Added a review of Minoes (Vermeersch)

* Added a review of Black Scorpion (Russell)

* Added a review of Wicked Spring / The Nest (Russell)

* Added a review of David G. Russell promo (Russell)

20.06.2002

* Added another composer page: Peter Vermeersch

27.01.2002 * Added another composer page: Ioannis Kourtis

18.01.2002 * Added article: Reflections on how nostalgia colours evaluative judgements in film reviews

* Fixed the broken FSM links. Will add a few more shortly.

01.01.2002 * A Happy New Year to everyone! Let's hope 2002 brings many changes to Celluloid Tunes, including a complete redesign and expansion of contents.

23.12.2001 * Massive changes to the link section! Added ca. 75 new links, removed faulty ones and added a "temp. down?" tag to sites I will check out in the near future (that have either moved or been removed).

22.11.2001 * Added a review of Eike Hosenfeld's promo release

* I know the FSM links are not working. That is because the FSM board is currently experiencing problems. I hope this is fixed soon.

10.10.2001 * The Netscape problem should now be fixed

* Added another composer page: Eike Hosenfeld

24.09.2001 * It has been brought to my attention that Netscape users have trouble viewing the Up and Coming Composers section properly. All the contents are apparently "squished" to the right side of the screen. I'm sorry about this, and I will try to fix it (although as of now I don't know how, so I cannot guarantee anything). There are no problems with any other browser.

10.09.2001 * Completed the second composer page, dedicated to David Russell

14.08.2001 * I have completed the first composer page in the new section, dedicated to Marco Werba. More composers to come!

* Related to the above section, I have also written a small review of Werba's score Il Conte di Melissa

01.08.2001 * New section added: Up and Coming Composers. This will be expanded continually.

* I'm sorry about the faulty pics and logos that have popped up recently. I'm working on it.

20.06.2001 * I have finally begun to link up the titles in the Danny Elfman filmography. More to come.

15.06.2001 * First of all let me say that I'm sorry for the lack of any major updates since March. I've been swamped in work and various other stuff. However, I just added approximately 70 links to the link section. We're coming up on 600 external links now....

* Stay tuned for a new department called "Up and Coming Composers"!

29.03.2001 * Updated the Oscar list, added more threads to the FSM article

20.03.2001 * Added small commentaries / info, plus prices,  to each title on my CD sale/trade lists

06.03.2001 * Added article: Highlights from The Film Score Monthly Messageboard

25.02.2001 * Finished all additions of new logos and buttons.

18.01.2001 * Added lots of soundtrack covers to the Danny Elfman Filmography. Will link up each title soon!

17.01.2001 * Added article: The Music of the Alien Saga - Nailing an Atmosphere

24.11.2000 * Added more than 40 links to the link section. Also fixed some broken ones. We're now close to a total of 450 film composer links!

* Divided the link section in three - for faster loading.

13.10.2000 * Once again, I've done some minor changes to the page - I've "narrowed" the site  a bit, since several vistors complained that their 15'' screen (as opposed to my own 17'') caused a horizontal scroll. All pages should now be compatible with 15'' screens.

09.10.2000 * After several requests, I have brightened up the font colour a bit. I must admit, though, that the site DOES look a bit more cheesy now, but at least you can easily read the contents. In any case, this is all temporary untill the "complete redesign" some time in the hopefully not-so-busy future.

02.10.2000 * Well, Celluloid Tunes has FINALLY moved permanently to the current location, which I hope everyone agrees is the best possible. Spread the word! Next project in line is a complete redesign of the page and several new features. Stay tuned!

* Once again, I'm very sorry that the site has been more or less down (with several faults - such as a missing composer link section) these last few weeks. I've had some immense technical difficulties, which have rendered me completely unable to do anything with the site.

18.08.2000 * First off, I am very sorry for moving the site to the present, hard-to-remember location. The reason is simply that the former server shut down my expired web account, so I had to sign up for a new one here. I want to assure everyone that the present URL is only temporary, and I'm working to get a new and better one. The move has also caused some missing pictures and faulty internal links, which will be fixed shortly. Meanwhile, the good news is that....

* I have  finally completed the composer link section (at least untill new links are discovered)!! Thanks to everyone who has aided me:  private individuals, industry professionals and composers.

28.07.2000 * Added a want list to the CD sale section

* Added some more composer links - lots more to come!!

09.06.2000 * Added and removed a few items from the soundtrack sales list

05.05.2000 * Added a (not-very-good) photo of myself in the "How I Got Into Film Music" article

31.03.2000 * Updated the Hans Zimmer biography

09.03.2000 * Edited and rewritten several articles

* Easier access to the CD sale section

05.03.2000 * Added article: "Star Wars" vs. Expectations - the paradox menace

* Two added features in "Speaking of Which":

- A science fiction-related article

- A separate Danny Elfman section!

25.01.2000 * Entire site "tidied up" and slightly redesigned

01.01.2000 * Site opens! / a new millennium has arrived!
